Bridging Two Distinct Cultures

This new office was designed for a major reinsurance company, starting from the integration of two departments with distinct cultures: Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Life Reinsurance.
The workspace adopts an open-plan layout with unobstructed views, deliberately avoiding any private offices along the windows to create a shared visual connection with the outside. The office is zoned based on three levels of communication, and a sound masking system has been implemented to maintain an acoustical environment that supports casual conversation through moderate background noise. Height-adjustable desks have been provided to all employees, balancing comfort and well-being.
Filled with natural light, the open environment encourages spontaneous interactions, fostering new connections within the organization.
A guest lounge, set apart from the main workspace, serves as a multifunctional area that accommodates solo work, team meetings, and town hall gatherings. As the “face” of the company for visitors and a key hub for internal engagement, this lounge contributes to the development of a new, dynamic work style.
