West Coast Spirit

This office was designed for a U.S.-born tech company that provides a digital advertising platform.
Inspired by the expansive and open atmosphere of the company’s West Coast headquarters, the Tokyo office brings that same spirit to life through the use of warm wood materials and a refreshing color palette reminiscent of clear ocean waters and skies. Changes in materials and strategically framed sightlines create a rhythm echoing the ebb and flow of waves, visually expressing the essence of the “West Coast Spirit “.

To embody the company culture of openness and bold innovation, the layout includes glass-walled meeting rooms and casual lounge-style spaces throughout the office. These encourage spontaneous conversations and collaboration across departments and hierarchies, fostering a vibrant sense of community. In anticipation of the client’s rapidly growing business, the workspace and café/collaboration areas are designed to flexibly adapt to various needs—from workshops and events to informal discussions—allowing seamless transitions and reconfigurations.

Every element—materials, colors, and circulation—has been thoughtfully designed with the “ West Coast“ context in mind, resulting in a dynamic and creative environment where team members feel inspired to work, grow, and connect.
