Superstructure in the Bangarta
Vaduz, Liechtenstein
The Bangarta superstructure is based on a superstructure and design plan from 2011. The project is divided into four free-standing, four-storey volumes, one of which was already realized at an earlier date by another designer.
The volumes take up the street space in their setting and fit into the open space of the buildings and the sting. A common outdoor space design underlines the unity in the exterior and the idea of the design plan. A uniform picture is also to be found in the facade design for the newly built houses. The three designed building bodies are autonomous and differ in the size and number of apartments.
The staircases connect the residential buildings with the shared underground car park and the cellars below. Each apartment has a private outdoor space which is integrated into the volume as a loggia. The different needs of the owners are reflected inside the bodies. The living rooms are divided around the loggias and receive additional living space in the summer.
