The new construction of the landfill is part of the overall project of the redesign of the landfill in the Rhein. Surrounded by forest, quarry and gravel work, the monolith made of exposed concrete is self-confident in its place.

The landfill in the Rhein will be completely restructured as a complete plant. Part of this overall project is the new landfill, which is centrally located in the projected area. It serves as a workplace for the landfill warden and creates storage space for various work tools. The building also houses all technical installations for the tire washer and the object scale. The stone in context is absorbed by the architectural language of exposed concrete.

The building is confident and integrated in the new complex. The simplicity of the pure materials creates a balance for technical benefits and extends from the project idea to the execution. Both inside and outside, the materials stand directly and untreated for themselves and are construction as well as surface at the same time.
