Living on Eschnerberg
Eschen, Liechtenstein
The new building with two high-quality condominiums fits into the steep surroundings and provides a view of the Liechtenstein mountains.
Two storey apartments with approximately 160 square meters each were the basic requirements for this apartment building. From the property lines, a building shape emerges, which bends apart like two clasps and in the middle of which stands a core that can be completely circled. As a result, the interior is broken open and special room sequences are formed. Due to the hillside location, the building can be accessed at ground level in the basement with an underground car park. A staircase opens both floors.
The completely glazed facade in the living room opens it to the outdoor space and blurs the boundaries of inside and outside. The core stands as the center and demarcation from the bedrooms in the room. It is equipped with a toilet and household room. In contrast to the bright and open living room, the bedrooms are all facing north. Here the atmosphere is quieter and darker. The exterior facade is dominated by a concrete strip, which winds like a snake around the glass facades and the wooden fixtures.
