Living on Egerta

The new building on the Egerta in Planken is located in a unique location with an unobstructed panoramic view over the Rhine Valley and the Swiss mountains.
Due to dimension and topography, numerous challenges appeared. A complete excavation of the plot with a depth of 20 meters was necessary to fulfill the desire for maximum exploitation. The architecture is characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows on the valley side. On the top floor there is an attic which can be used as a guest unit or completely separately.
The property is accessed by the two adjacent roads, which allow a spacious carport at the top and a garage for numerous vehicles at the bottom. Living and sleeping rooms are distributed over three other floors, as well as wellness and hobby areas. The entire object sits deep in the slope, which is rebuilt around the building to its original shape.
