An Office That Strengthens Unity Among a Diverse Team

Marking the 40th anniversary of its founding, BMW Group Japan has established a new office in a prime location overlooking the beautiful Hamarikyu Gardens in Shiodome. Under the concept of Connected Works, which represents a modern and efficient way of working, our design team aimed to create an environment where hybrid teams with diverse backgrounds can consistently perform at their best.

Based on the principles of Activity-Based Working (ABW), the office features a variety of communication spaces scattered throughout, allowing employees to interact freely and naturally, fostering spontaneous collaboration. This new office, designed to support flexible and autonomous working styles, not only enhances individual performance but also contributes to promoting work-life integration.

The open and seamlessly connected environment encourages interaction between departments that previously had limited contact. These daily cross-functional and cross-hierarchical collaborations have further strengthened the unity of BMW Group Japan as ONE TEAM.
