O&O Baukunst wins first prize of the international competition for the redesign of Siemensstadt in Berlin. In cooperation with landscape architects of capattistaubach, O&O created the urban design of the master plan for the traditional location of Siemens.
Siemensstadt in Berlin-Spandau, an icon of industrial architecture, is being expanded and redesigned to become a more future-oriented district. The master plan includes a mixture of building types and ample open spaces designed for living, education, work, trade and research - all while respecting and revitalising the existing historical buildings. At the heart of the 70-hectare site is a high-rise that acts as a vertical neighbourhood and marker visible far into the city.
