FER Building – Addition of Floors and Environmental Work
The existing FER building was raised by 2 levels over one module and 1 level over the rest of the building, resulting in a total of 8 floors throughout. This elevation preserves the original architectural expression as well as the building’s integration into the Quai du Seujet neighborhood.
From an environmental standpoint, our office was also commissioned to supervise the asbestos removal from the screed and the terrace waterproofing. With a 7th-floor area of 200 m², these works were carried out in 4 containment zones.
Historically, our office has been involved in this project from its origins, contributing to the building’s construction in the 1960s alongside architects Jean-Pierre Dom and François Maurice.
