FICR - Extension du siège mondial
Geneva , Switzerland
IFRC, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies – Headquarters Extension
The new building is connected to the existing structure built in the 1990s. It consists of 2 basement levels and 7 above-ground floors. The underground volumes are mainly allocated to parking and technical facilities, while the above-ground portion houses offices, meeting rooms, a cafeteria, and terraces.
The volume from the 1st to the 4th floor is entirely cantilevered, meaning it is suspended without support on the ground, over a length of 13.0 meters.
Thanks in particular to its low environmental impact and the preservation of resources through the use of recycled concrete, this project qualifies for the Minergie P-Eco certification.
