The masterplan transforms the Uznach railway station area from an mono functional area into a lively, mixed and central quarter with a new building structure, high-quality public spaces and a new transport and interchange hub. To achieve this, a comprehensive urban design concept was developed that sets new focal points in the urban structure, provides generous public spaces and exploits the potential of pedestrians in dense urban areas by precisely coordinating urban design and traffic.
