In 1986 the building in the city Morsbach was converted into a post office and was expanded in 2008 by LHVH Architekten to premises for a real estate company. The post office was built in the style of timber architecture. In the eastern part the local Post Office is still housed. To design an open space concept on two levels with the possibility of retreat for meetings - the desire of the developer were met by a clearly structured plan organization. The view and the exposure of the pediment were also the focus of this draft. Materials such as concrete, steel, masonry and wood needle support this reduction to the essentials and support the idea of a clear and expressive interior design concept. In the ground floor the visitor is welcomed at a specially designed reception desk. A kitchen, meeting and waiting rooms and wet rooms are located in close proximity and are sometimes attached in open and closed manner to the reception. A light-filled staircaseroom leads into the gabled floor, where there are three separate offices, a warehouse and wet rooms. The doors and windows that show to the main road to the north and on the other hand to the south of the village church to lie in an axial structure and exhibit a high degree of rhythmicity and light up the once dark gable room with natural light. The balancing act between old and new is clearly mastered by the design determinants.
