Residential area Merschkamp
Münster, Germany
The residential area is conceived as a garden city that possesses the character of the local Münsterland region: within the context of Mies van der Rohe style masonry architecture and the farmhouses of the Münsterland. The living space conceived for this project modifies and diversifies the concept of a Hofhaus, or courtyard house, which equally allows them to be lined up and produces greater coherence while at the same time offering the maximum personalised exterior space.
The materials reflect the contextual basis of the entire residential area: brick, precast concrete, timber-framed windows.
