The design task involved the replacement of an existing petrol station situated along the Südring, the main gateway to East Innsbruck, with a multifunctional office building that integrated a petrol station and retail shop.

The upper floor of the two-storey building cantilevers over a refuelling area, redefining the newly configured street alignment along the Südring and achieving prominent visibility within the streetscape.

The solidity of the concrete structure is accentuated by precast concrete flanks of the longitudinal sides, which extend over the entire height, emphasizing both the single and double-storey partitions. The main front and back sides, which overlook the Amraser-See-Street and the Nordkette mountain chain respectively, are fully glazed and inclined at a ten-degree angle.

A striking black metal ceiling, adorned with an array of square luminaires of varying sizes designed by Esther Stocker, illuminates the refuelling area and the shop.

Offices on the upper floor are arranged around a central atrium, featuring a green rooftop terrace on the north side where six maple trees add natural vitality to the indoor spaces.
The column-free cantilever of the upper level is perceptible in the interiors, where two solid concrete trusses are partitioning the space.

The outdoor area encompasses a comprehensive green draft, with public pedestrian and cycle paths on the eastern side, leading from the Domaniweg through Algunder-Straße to connect a residential area south of Amraser-See-Street. This green initiative has been embraced by the rooftop concept, while the green spaces on the ground floor have been adorned with maples, elms and poplar trees.

The design-phase spanned over two years, from 2020 and 2022. The opening was scheduled for in December 2023 after a one-year construction period.
