Casa Plató is the refurbishment of a heritage house in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, completed in 2025 as a private residential renovation. Commissioned by a private client, the project covers 200 m² plus a garden and was developed with a budget of €160,000 + VAT. Conceived both as a home and as a professional set for film, television, and audiovisual productions, the design is guided by a central principle: preserving the original identity of the house while enabling it to remain a versatile and adaptable stage for storytelling.
The intervention is approached as a process of layering, where each new element respects and builds upon what already exists, so that additions feel as if they have always belonged to the place. Materials, finishes, and details are selected to dialogue with the memory of the house, reinforcing its timeless character. More than a simple renovation, Casa Plató becomes a narrative space where past and present coexist, offering an architectural framework open to the imagination of directors, photographers, and creators across different genres, eras, and stories.
