Watch Mario Schjetnan Speak About GDU's Notable Projects
Washington, DC's The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) named Mario Schjetnan and Grupo de Diseño Urbano (GDU) as recipients of the 2025 Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize. Watch a trio of videos made by TCLF in which Schjetnan speaks about the interdisciplinary design firm's most notable landscapes.
As part of yesterday announcement that Mario Schjetnan and Grupo de Diseño Urbano are recipients of the $100,000 biennial award organized by TCLF and named for Canadian landscape architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, TCLF released some videos featuring Schjetnan speaking about—and gesticulating, as the previews of the videos embedded below indicate—his background and a few of the landscapes GDU designed for sites in Mexico City. The longer video, in which Schjetnan recounts his upbringing, education, and career, can be found in our headline on the prize, while the videos on the trio of projects are below; click the links to learn more about the projects on TCLF's website:
