Sneha Divias Atelier

Vitalia is a boutique residential development located along the coastline of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Designed by Sneha Divias Atelier, the project explores the relationship between heritage, longevity, and contemporary coastal living, positioning architecture as a framework for continuity rather than trend-driven expression.

The design concept draws from Italian heritage and Mediterranean sensibilities, interpreted through proportion, materiality, and spatial calm. Rather than referencing historic forms directly, the project translates these influences into a restrained architectural language intended to remain relevant and enduring over time.

Spatial planning responds to both context and constraint. A narrow floor plate presented a key challenge, particularly as the brief required each apartment to occupy a full floor in order to secure panoramic sea views for every residence. Through careful organisation and open-plan layouts, the design maximises visual continuity and openness while maintaining privacy and clarity of circulation. Material selection plays a defining role in the project’s identity. Ribbed travertine walls introduce texture and depth, referencing Italian craftsmanship, while bronze glass wardrobe doors add a refined, reflective quality to the interiors. Neutral yet tactile finishes are used throughout to establish a calm atmosphere that complements the coastal setting. Open-plan kitchens are integrated seamlessly into the living spaces, supporting both functionality and spatial flow.

The residential programme comprises a limited collection of apartments, duplexes, and penthouses, each conceived with a hospitality-inspired sensibility. Shared amenities, including a dedicated gym, are incorporated to support everyday well-being while maintaining the project’s boutique scale and residential intimacy.

Vitalia proposes a model of coastal living rooted in material integrity, spatial restraint, and long-term value. The project positions architecture not as spectacle, but as a carefully composed environment designed to age gracefully and support enduring residential quality.
