Dragonfly

The client wanted a unique Asian restaurant in Dubai combining authentic cultural elements with hyper-modern design. The space needed to be immersive, offering guests a full sensory experience. The concept called for a fresh, non-cliché approach, featuring a dramatic bar, outdoor terrace, open kitchen, and a DJ booth. The design incorporated “dragonfly” symbolism and East Asian motifs, balancing vibrant details with moments of calm sophistication.

A 360-degree glass bar crowned by a 9-meter dragonfly sets the dramatic tone. Hand-carved columns, vintage vases, and kokeshi dolls ground the space in cultural symbolism. We integrated modern hospitality features like a mezzanine DJ booth and open kitchen. High-quality materials—wood veneer, granite, and leather—underscore the craftsmanship. The result is a visually striking, emotionally engaging space that fully delivers on the client’s vision.
