Vinci will build its new headquarters in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine), in the soon to be « Groues » area, an area designed to be a link between the city and the La Défense financial district.
By 2021, this 74 000 m² facility will bring together on a single site nearly 4000 collaborators from the original headquarters as well as the the additional sites of the Vinci group. The architectural project for the “Groues” area is the result of a competition presided over by a jury composed of : Xavier Huillard, CEO of Vinci, Patrick Jarry, president of the Epadesa and mayor of Nanterre, and Hugues Parant, managing director of the Epadesa.
The future headquarters were designed by Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés, prime architect, and Mimram, associate architect, with the objective to fully and durably blend into its urban environment. The business hub will be integrated to an ambitious environmental process and will directly adress the issues related to the evolution of building functions and the mobility of its inhabitants. The site is composed of a series of building linked to one another, ressembling an archipelago. On the inside, the new HQ will provide the employees numerous modern and comfortable spaces designed to facilitate teamwork.
In addition to office spaces, many shops, businesses and public spaces will be integrated to the project. Indeed, this dual development aims to turn the 11th district of Nanterre into an exemplary one in terms of quality of life and openness towars the other districts composing the territory. Access to the site is made very simple by the proximity with the RER A and, in the near future, the Nanterre-La Folie station (RER E and line 15 of the Grand Paris Express), above which a part of the future Vinci headquarters will be built.
