Stirling Prize Shortlist Announced

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has revealed the six projects in the running for the 2016 RIBA Stirling Prize for the UK's best new building.
Projects in the running for the Stirling Prize are culled from the winners of the annual RIBA Awards. The winner of RIBA's highest honor will go to one of these six buildings (RIBA Awards wins indicated in parentheses):
- Blavatnik School of Government by Herzog & de Meuron, Oxford, England (RIBA National Award 2016, RIBA South Award 2016, RIBA South Client of the Year 2016)
- City of Glasgow College, Riverside Campus by Michael Laird Architects, Reiach and Hall Architects, Glasgow, Scotland (RIBA National Award 2016, RIAS Award 2016, RIBA Award for Scotland 2016)
- Newport Street Gallery by Caruso St. John Architects, Vauxhall, London (RIBA National Award 2016, RIBA London Award 2016)
- Outhouse by Loyn & Co Architects, Forest of Dean, England (RIBA National Award 2016, RIBA South West Award 2016, RIBA South West Building of the Year 2016)
- Trafalgar Place - Elephant and Castle by dRMM Architects, London (RIBA National Award 2016, RIBA London Award 2016)
- Weston Library by WilkinsonEyre, Oxford, England (RIBA National Award 2016, RIBA South Award 2016, RIBA South Building of the Year 2016)
The winner of the 2016 RIBA Stirling Prize will be announced 6 October 2016.
