Gold-Diggers Hotel

5630 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, USA

Gold Diggers Hotel is the renovation of an abandoned hotel above the storied Gold Diggers Bar into an eleven room, boutique hotel. Located on Santa Monica Blvd. in east Hollywood, the project is part of a larger development that includes the bar below and the Kingsize recording studios housed in an existing warehouse behind it. Creative solutions were developed to address a compact space design, an existing URM structure and limited utility resources. The hotel is aimed at traveling music professionals who will be using the recording studios behind it. The small rooms were made to feel luxurious with a modern aesthetic. The finishes include exposed painted brick, graphic wall paper, bold colors, vintage end-cut wood tiles and artwork inspired by the Hollywood punk scene of the late 70s and 80s and the Hollywood Regency style of the 1920s. | 4,980 SF, 2 stories (over 1st floor bar), Hollywood, CA
