Villa Parque
Barcelona, Spain
Villa Parque is the renovation of an early 20th-century modernist detached house in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, completed in 2024 for a private client. The project, with a total surface of 240 m² plus a 100 m² garden and a budget of €450,000 + VAT, respects and enhances the building’s architectural heritage while adapting it to contemporary living standards.
The intervention prioritizes opening the house toward the garden and the adjacent park, creating a continuous relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Key historic elements, such as the original ceiling structure and the hydraulic tile floors, have been carefully recovered and preserved, reinforcing the home’s identity. At the same time, significant structural reinforcements have made it possible to reduce interior partitions and achieve a brighter, more flexible spatial layout. From a sustainability perspective, the entire house has been thermally insulated to improve energy efficiency and comfort, ensuring that the original spirit of the building is preserved while meeting today’s environmental and living requirements.
