"The University DINING" aimed to be a new base for campus life by offering an environment where students gather naturally at any time and imagine new ideas one after another. The transparent outer circumference of the building creates a comfortable space that interlocks with the outside environment, and at the same time, it is a place where students can come before or after class, in-between classes, by themselves, or with their friends or professors, and it is expected creating new encounters in open space. This structure is programmed the rhythm of fluctuation which people feel comfortable in nature, 1/f, to determine the arrangement of the wooden beams. By amplifying the width of the wood pitch like a wave, it cut off the light from the top light so it becomes a soft. It is to realize an intimate space wrapped in gentle light like sunlight filtering through trees. It creates various expressions depending on the direction of viewing and the place to sit. Currently, not only students but also local child-rearing generation and high school students gather, it is a base for the elderly walking course. As well as students and faculty members, various guests gathere and lively exchanges are born.
