The school stands in the midst of Yamaga City which is surrounded by nature. Timber framework highlights the beauty and creates a bright, flexible learning space. The approach is 'a passage to learning'. School grounds fill with a thousand female dancers during the Lantern Festival. Classrooms face the courtyard, 'a learning field', receiving fresh air, sun, and sounds. Living, learning and the community are integrated, creating a "happy place", an example for the future of school architecture.
