Seelberg Wohnen
Wildunger/ Kreuznacher/ Dürrheimer Straße, Stuttgart, Germany
An inner-city residential quarter for both young and old has been developed on a former industrial site in Stuttgart’s Bad Cannstatt district. Condominiums, a nursing home and apartments for senior citizens are grouped around a centrally located neighbourhood square. As a tribute to the industrial architecture, an existing building was preserved and repurposed. The garden of the nursing home and the outdoor area of the daycare centre are connected by a pergola to promote intergenerational interaction.
