A strong identity, phased building segments with own address incorporation, spatial efficiency and coequal office standards were the objectives for this new office building. The solution was a building plan which relates to the adjacent streets aligned at an acute angle and through its oval form creates a public space in the site corner. Guests arrive at the lobby and may take the elevator directly to the top floor where they are welcomed by reception and a stunning panorama. The concave sweep of the longitudinal façade leads to the entrance of the second building segment and creates a priority space for vehicles. The elliptical building form provides each workspace with a direct view to the outside. Several office spaces are interlinked with communal areas. Meeting points, kitchenettes and conference rooms become places of exchange and socializing. This delivers a generous spatial organization that allows a diverse arrangement from single, combined and open plan offices. In addition, the building form has an efficient ratio of façade settlement to usable office space and has allowed for a 15% reduction in built mass without affecting the quality or the spatial program as was required by the investor.
