DGJ Paysages celebraite their jubilée with "Nature’s Forgiveness" at the International Garden Festival at Chaumont-sur-Loire. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Des Grands Jardins & Paysages DGJ, we took part in this prestigious competition and were selected from 25 teams from all over the world, chosen from 300 entrants.
Since end of April, our gardens are open to the public until 3 November.
'Le Pardon de la Nature' as a garden expresses the idea that there is not just one source of life, but many. Physical elements such as sun, earth, air and water form a system of symbiotic relationships with many living things. Humankind forming nature to his will, has run the risk of unbalancing this natural symbiotic system.
At the heart of the garden, architectural compositions first draw attention to a cultural garden, where plants modified by man fulfil a variety of functions: food, beauty and more. Further on, a wild environment reveals the natural ancestors of commercially cultivated plants, such as meadow sage and wild roses. Healing us with its own power, nature takes control.
