My Always Home is the renovation of an early 20th-century modernist detached house in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona, completed in 2023 for a private client. Covering 120 m² and built with a budget of €95,000 + VAT, the project respects and enhances the architectural heritage of the building while adapting it to contemporary living.
The intervention prioritizes opening the house toward the garden and nearby park, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Key historic elements, such as the original ceiling structure and hydraulic tile floors, have been carefully preserved. Significant structural reinforcements allowed for the reduction of interior partitions, creating brighter, more flexible spaces. The entire house has been thermally insulated, improving energy efficiency and comfort while maintaining the original spirit of the building.
