House in Wakaekita-Cho
Osaka Prefecture, Japan
This is a reconstruction project within an old village characterized by a maze of narrow alleys. By connecting the spaces in a U-shape with staggered levels, the design achieves a courtyard-style layout without creating a closed-off inner courtyard. The eaves created by this staggered arrangement provide a visual opening in the otherwise narrow, poorly visible alleys, bringing a sense of openness to the area.
