To create this flat, two apartments on adjacent floors were combined to form an atmospheric whole. In place of the original small room, an open floor plan was devised that contained expansive interior views and outward-looking vistas. The heart and connecting element of the two floors is a wall element made of bush-hammered concrete with gravel from the Val Bregaglia, which brings the essence of the mountain into the home. A fireplace, wardrobe and alcoves intended as practical storage space or for displaying various objects are integrated into the wall element. The commission included everything from the room arrangement to the selection of premium materials and decoration.
