Hatta Resort

Project development for a resort in the Hajar Mountains, approximately 130 km south-west of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Essential requirements of the proposal have been the fulfilment of an absolute self-sustainability concept.
Building materials available on site are: clay, stone and wood. Energetic supply involves natural ventilation principles (“wind towers”) collects rainwater, promotes a self-sufficient energetic and alimentary supply.
Willing to respond to the most diverse needs with creative tailored solutions, the project displays a broad spectrum of living typologies: a hotel, luxurious villas, adventurous bivouacs and guest houses are among the options.
Living typologies can address to a clientele with the most diverse cultural backgrounds and age ranges, moreover they offer different privacy degrees, and a variety of rest and recreation facilities.
The hotel is willing to become a “landmark” for the region. A variety of open-air leisure activities are among the resort offers.
The existing terrain, partially altered by human intervention already, will be enriched by increasing the natural elements and by spectacular highlights such as oases and a rock gorge. A pedestrian path will give access to individual accommodations and lead guests through diverse landscapes.
