The building works for the Fronius Research and Development Centre began in November 2008. The design reflects both structure and corporate identity of the Austrian global player. Continuity and innovation are Fronius core values. The relationship of the new buildings to the building of the founders’ generation reflects the belief that the future derives from the past. The corporate colour on this building underlines its importance within the ensemble. The companies’ architectural language is expressed in exteriors as well as interiors. The ensemble communicates the companies past, its recent transformation and visions for the future. Fronius message and mindset are reflected in the architecture: clarity and simplicity in the arrangement of the building volumes, open and flexible structures fostering good orientation, an energy efficient facade and the use of renewable energy - protection of the environment and sustainability are paramount.
