EDGE East Side Berlin

EDGE East Side is a high-rise building on Warschauer Brücke in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district, close to the Uber Arena. The design comes from the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), which won an invited competition initiated by EDGE Technologies.
On behalf of EDGE Technologies (a company of OVG Real Estate), AUKETT + HEESE served as a local architect alongside BIG. For the tenant Amazon, we worked closely with the Amazon team in Berlin to implement the tenant fit-out on the building’s second storey.
A crucial component of the 140-metre-high EDGE East Side building with 37 storeys and a gross floor area of around 80,500 m² is a platform that will connect the neighbouring East Side Mall with Warschauer Bridge.
