AUKETT + HEESE was commissioned by pwr development, in collaboration with architects Herzog & de Meuron, who are responsible for the design, to develop the planning for new residential, office and retail buildings above a shared underground car park between Friedrichstraße, Oranienburger Straße and Johannisstraße in the Berlin borough AM TACHELES.
The masterplan for a new urban quarter developed by Herzog & de Meuron in the district Berlin-Mitte, envisages a mix of new buildings and a redevelopment on an area of more than 20.000 m². The individual buildings are designed by architects Grüntuch Ernst Architekten and Brandlhuber + Muck Petzet. The underground parking garage is being planned by RKW Architektur+. The sub-projects planned by AUKETT + HEESE have a gross floor area of approx. 56,200 m².
