Competition National assembly hall Parliament Vienna
Doktor-Karl-Renner-Ring 3, Vienna, Austria
The main objective of the concept was to safeguard the authenticity of the national assembly hall by gentle interventions. The modernity of the working milieu results from the relaxed approach to existing structures. Generous, easy, quick and steady exchange with its environment are enabled by floating changes of rooms and adaption of technical infrastructure on the highest level. The design endeavours to achieve a consistent ensemble, consistent milieus and a consistent room in historic context.
