Accum residential complex

This complex is situated on the crest of a hill in the south-east of Gossau, a municipality in Zurich. Four compact buildings stand at a slight angle to one another, keeping the adjoining woodland area visible and allowing the green space between the buildings to run into the development. Designed to accommodate four apartments per storey, each building houses around 10 apartments, all of which are oriented in three directions. The south-facing building corners feature spacious balconies, adjoined by the kitchens and living rooms, creating a cross-corner composition within. Light bands of concrete mark the ceiling levels for each storey and create a horizontal structure.
