This project involves three small row houses on a cul-de-sac alley within the area.
This alley is a private space for the residents here.
We extended the alley into the site, laid interlocking pavers, and arranged three maisonette units.
Each dwelling seeks enhanced independence while relating to the alley in various ways, gradually increasing privacy as one moves deeper into the site.
This row house aims for a state where residents' sense of home extends beyond their individual units. This is achieved by opening dwellings to the alley and garden, allowing diverse connections, while maintaining appropriate distance through careful placement, window openings, and planting. Partial sharing of elements further fosters this sense of shared space.
