Revisiting the 2024 EUmies Winners
One year after the European Commission and Fundació Mies van der Rohe announced the two winners of the 2024 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, the EUmies Awards has uploaded videos of the winners and finalists to YouTube.
It was April 25, 2024, to be precise, when the Study Pavilion at TU Braunschweig by Gustav Düsing and Max Hacke was named the Architecture Winner, and SUMA Arquitectura's Gabriel García Márquez Library was named the Emerging Architecture Winner. The buildings beat out five other finalists, all of which have roughly seven-minute videos that feature commentary from the architects and clients, and include footage showing the buildings being used. The latter aspect is especially pronounced in the videos of the two winners, which are embedded below. (All of the videos can be found on the EUmies Awards YouTube channel.)
