The workshop facility was a maintenance, fuelling, washing and cleaning place for the buses that would ply the BRTS. It required inspection pits, major pits, wash ramps, a fuelling station and a depot to park 60 buses. We made trips to several bus workshops and our observations suggested the requirement of a large, unobstructed space, without any columns. We worked out the ideal loop based on service and utility diagram and also took into consideration the climate.
