Oficinas Inspire

Oficinas Inspire is an office development situated at the corner of Pamplona and Pujades streets in Barcelona, designed with a comprehensive focus on sustainability, user wellbeing, and energy efficiency. With over 15,000 m² of built space, the building stands out as a benchmark for the harmonious integration of architecture within both its urban and natural surroundings.

The building’s form is organised in a U-shape, enclosing an inner garden accessible from the exterior via a double-height porch. This landscaped area, acting as a green lung within the city, enhances environmental quality and fosters a closer connection between users and nature. The structure rests on a robust concrete base with large spans, allowing for generous, flexible interior spaces. Above this base, the office floors are constructed using timber, a renewable material that promotes a healthy and environmentally friendly working environment.

Oficinas Inspire has been designed to prioritise user wellbeing. It features expansive landscaped areas on the ground floor and a large terrace on the fifth floor, complemented by balconies on every office level. These elements encourage engagement with the outdoors and improve the overall quality of the workplace. Additionally, the building’s façade, crafted from charred timber, not only presents a modern and distinctive aesthetic but also enhances the building’s energy performance.

From a sustainability perspective, the project achieves the highest environmental and energy standards. It holds LEED and WELL Platinum certifications, as well as WiredScore and SmartScore Gold ratings, with carbon neutrality during both the design and construction phases certified to PAS2060. The design also incorporates green roofs and an urban garden, further contributing to environmental quality and supporting user wellbeing.

The six-storey atrium, filled with natural light, serves as a hub for circulation and interaction between the building’s levels. Beyond functioning as the central vertical circulation core, the atrium encourages social and professional engagement among occupants. The ground floor offers an open-plan space suitable for both office and commercial use, with direct access from the street.
