Number of years it took to construct and open the entire complex of the Grand Egyptian Museum close to Giza, spanning 500,000 square meters (5.4m sf), costing some $1.2bn (€1.1bn), and showing some 100,000 ancient Egyptian artifacts—but not (yet) the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum, the Zodiac at the Louvre, and the Bust of Nefertiti in Berlin: 20
