Tiago Torres Campos, CNTXT Studio Landscape Architect: "Reactive Ground"
The Architect's Newspaper has announced four winners in its competition that "aimed to rethink one of the most iconic streets in the world—42nd street in Midtown Manhattan."
From unleashing the rocky ground line and creating grounds for free speech to covering shelters with green walls and roofs and lining the route with open-air eateries, the winners strive to "transform the street into a model for a 21st century live/work space and transportation corridor," according to the paper.
Visit The Architect's Newspaper website to learn more about the four winners.
