BAMBU

BAMBU is a 6-bedroom beach house situated on the coast of Ilashe in Lagos.
The house is oriented to the south, facing the Atlantic Ocean, with extensive overhangs and deep verandahs that recess the glazing and provide space for integrated plants to protect the interiors from direct heat and sunlight.
The project was executed on a modest budget with an extremely simple and restrained material palette which is accented by grooved concrete walls and indigenous timber screens.
