Komorebi Forest Kameoka
Kameoka Kyoto, Japan
Renovation of the city library in a regional city surrounded by mountains.
By connecting the forest of solid wood furniture with the forest of curtains that reflect the local scenery, we will create a forest that connects the memories of the citizens.
This creates an area around the window where sunlight from the forest can filter in.
These are various spaces that invite reading.
As the light changes, another forest unfolds beyond the window, resembling the feeling of a new world unfolding when you open a book.
