It was government project to built museum function to preserve and to research Hakka people’s culture. Another important function of this facility would be to provide outdoor studies to experience tea growing farms through greens and waters in camping grounds.

The design concepts conceived by the architects were to utilize natural contours to make architectural composition sustainable with given nature. For the interior composition, all exhibition spaces are intelligently utilized grid pattern emulated from the structure. The lighting method to light these structures and spaces are planned to be compatible with the notion of sustainability. Whole lighting system is envisioned as the layers where each layer is given definite function and purpose.
