Santa Fe de Bogota Hospital

Bogotá, Colombia

The proposal for the expansion of the Santa Fe de Bogotá Hospital was based on dual concerns: consistency with the surrounding urban area and the revitalization of the hospital facility’s pre-existing elements. Both considerations converged in a project plan where exterior access and interior circulation played key roles in the solutions provided. The proposal is rooted in sobriety, elegance and the institution’s image of solidity, but at the same time in a forward-looking approach. The innovative use of ceramics on the façade conveys respect for the traditional material of Bogotá and the complex’s pre-existing buildings, while at the same time gives them an innovative twist. The approach and reception areas furnish the complex with a new corporate image.
