This renovation project transformed the basement of Pasona Group’s Otemachi office, in Tokyo, into a staff center with a bar/lounge, restaurant, beauty salon, and other facilities. The original space included a number of negative conditions including low ceilings, elevation gaps in the floor, and exposed pipes and wiring.
Giving the comfort and relaxation of employees top priority, the renovation plan makes abundant and artistic use of natural materials including earth, wood, stone, and steel. The center has proven very popular both as a meeting place and a space for employees to get away from the stresses of the office.
