Bâtiment d'art contemporain (BAC) Geneva

Geneva, Suisse

Kuehn Malvezzi, with CCHE Architects, won first prize in the international competition for the renovation and reorganization of the BAC - Bâtiment d'art contemporain in Genèva. Situated in the Plainpalais district, the centre will house three institutions: the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Mamco), the Contemporary Art Center (CAC) and the Center for Photography (CPG). The primary aim is to have the institutions coexist and be open to the city while preserving the industrial character of the site.
