This building is our new office.

We tried several things on this project.

・Structure → route 1-1
(Free brittleness structure)
・Experimental air-conditioning by groundwater → pechika heating
・Environmental experiment building and botanical garden
・Shop and museum

This building is named ISUNOKI because this place is called 柞原(KUBARA) – 柞 pronounce ISUNOKI.

柞(means “Distylium racemosum”) was the material that makes emperor’s throne were clustered in various places in Kagawa.

The sound of word ISUNOKI reminds ourselves creating architecture and appearance of sitting chair with reading books. That is why we named our office as ISUNOKI.
