Within an ordinary residential context, a building takes shape that stands out for its ability to question the compositional rules of domestic architecture.
This is not a formal gesture for its own sake, but the outcome of an experimental design process carried out in close collaboration with the Client, who showed openness toward an unusual yet rigorous architectural language.
The starting point was not a preconceived concept, but rather a sequence of simplified 3D models, developed as tools for comparison and reflection.
Through these models, some established principles of traditional construction were challenged, such as the verticality of walls and the clear separation between façade and roof.
This research led to a compact volume characterized by a pronounced inclination that merges walls and roof into a single continuous surface.
At the heart of the project is a large inclined wall which, by joining the roof, defines the three main façades of the building.
The fourth elevation, more contained and introverted, opens only partially, allowing the sloping terrace to emerge.
This compositional choice generates a dynamic architecture, sculpted by light and the movement of surfaces, capable of expressing a strong identity without ever resorting to excess.
One of the most technically significant aspects of the project is precisely the continuity of the building envelope.
The design required particular care in the management of joints, eaves lines, and connection details, in order to preserve the idea of a homogeneous, enveloping surface.
The formal language is thus translated into a tangible structure, built with rigor and coherence.
This intervention represents an effective synthesis of expressive research and constructive control.
It is an architecture that takes a clear stance, proposing a dwelling in which form and function merge into a single, measured gesture.
The result is a space to be lived in and observed, offering new possibilities of relationship with context, light, and time.
More than an autonomous object, the building behaves as an open system: it invites experimentation, suggests paths, and stimulates questions.
A project that does not impose itself, but allows itself to be read in its complexity, and that finds in the simplicity of form its most radical character.
